'Spying' requests exceed 500,000

BBC UK Politics:

More than 500,000 official "spying" requests for private communications
data were made last year, a report says.

So will the database they want just make it easier for them to do what they
already do. Half a million requests eh that's a lot of data. Is a request
to check out one email account or everything done thro an ISP or what.

Yup, the ISPs are compelled to pass on the data. I think a few of them used to refuse but as far as I know that all changed with the anti-terrorism legislation that evil, lying swine Tony Blair managed to get passed.
