Postage Cost Stuff

by Palmblogging @ 31.07.2008 - 11:46:01 am

Pair of sandals from ebay I paid £4.00 postage, the stamps on it £2.60. this was in the UK. Keyboard adaptor from Illinois US of A $1.70 yes that's in dollars so it will be less than a pound. Why? The adaptor was smaller but came a hell of a lot further a hell of a lot cheaper per mile.

Post Count

by Palmblogging @ 31.07.2008 - 11:14:02 am

I can't believe that I have posted over 200 posts this month I know it has
been creeping up but that's some amount of bovel I have put here this month.
I sometimes just see things that I want to share with others so I post it.
Sometimes its a handy way to get a link to something I want to read myself
but want it optimised for the Treo 680 and if its here I already have my
blog bookmarked in format that allows the link to be optimised.
As I have previously said this site is produce by Palm powered devices, a
handfull of Psion Revo emails and very very seldom a PC for tweaking the
odd thing.
As an experiment in blogging with a Palm I think it has been great seeing
that I can do it. Its even easier with mail2blog.

Vorderman Stuff

by Palmblogging @ 31.07.2008 - 10:34:01 am

Seen this in the Mirror today and thought I would let others see it. I
really apoligise if I breach copyright and if the person whose image this
is let's me know they will get full credit. This is so funny it deseves to
be out there for more to see. Thanks to whomever I am still laughing at
this.

Ants

by Palmblogging @ 31.07.2008 - 10:26:01 am

Ants are amazing. I uncovered this ant city at work under a wall made of
broken slabs. The place I work must have millions of ant living in it all
in their own communities. If you uncover them its ammaxing how quick they
pack up and move to a safer bit. The must shift loads of earth relative to
their size to make their homes.
Yes folks when we finally destroy this planet for ourselves it will be the
ants that take it over.

Palm Retro Stuff

by Palmblogging @ 30.07.2008 - 03:58:01 pm

Been looking at stuff on ebay for the old Palms. There are a couple of
battery less Visorphone so I may bid if I can source batteries for this.
There's a bluetooth sd card that will do the M130 as well.
Expansys have a bluetooth sled that would probably do the M130 as well. So
I will have a look over the next few days and maybe get something for the
old Palms.
I would love to find a battery for the Visorphone most though as I've
hankered over that for a while.

by Palmblogging @ 30.07.2008 - 11:48:01 am

BBC Business

By fuck is all I can say.

Fellowes Done Good

by Palmblogging @ 30.07.2008 - 10:22:01 am

Got my Palm Universal Connector yesterday from the US. Thanks to Gerry. It
works on the M130 but not the Zire71 but I expected that.

M130 and Pocket Keys

by Palmblogging @ 30.07.2008 - 07:18:01 am

This is a picture of the M130 with my keyboard now that I have the Palm
adaptor. Keyboard working as it should.
I set the M130 up for email as well and Xiino works as a web browser. So
with the Nokia 7110 I have an old school connected set up. I would still
like a GPRS enable IR phone to make best use of my data bundles though or
possibly find a Palm Bluetooth sd card to try in the M130. If I do this I
would have to try a day without the 680 to see how I'd get on.

Pug 106 Stuff

by Palmblogging @ 30.07.2008 - 07:12:01 am

New pipe fitted to exhaust and seems all ok just now. The drive to work
will show up any problems. It just seems to be one thing after another just
now.
I have to check the rear brakes and a rubbing noise at the front drivwrs
side. Might get time at lunchtime today to do that.

BP

by Palmblogging @ 29.07.2008 - 01:56:01 pm

Almost £7 billion in 6 months profit. Need I say more? Bloody greedy that's all. Just like the Banks and the Gas and Leccy companies. Yes three of the organisation that screw us day in day out. The other? Oh that will be the Government with vat, duties, national insurance and income tax.

False Economy

by Palmblogging @ 29.07.2008 - 01:56:01 pm

In the past 6 months I have spent 20-30 pounds on exhaust repair stuff.
Today I got the pipe to replace it. It cost 18. Maybe I should have priced
and replaced 6 months ago. So by trying to save I probably spent double.

Can't Wait To Get Home

by Palmblogging @ 29.07.2008 - 11:14:01 am

Why, cause the part I asked if Fellowes had have arrived at home. I hope
its what I'm needing then I can try it on the Zire 71 and M130. But wait I
may have to be lying under the 106 sorting the exhaust. Doh!!!!

106 Stuff

by Palmblogging @ 29.07.2008 - 08:58:01 am

I got the 106 that was broke at the weekend running last night. It was the
crankshaft sensor that was away. Once the new one was in it fired up no
probs at all.
I have to now put on an exhaust pipe that even though I've been repairing
it blows at a different bit so that's tonights job.
Back to the sensor though. It was held in by a Torx headed bolt. I hate
these things and there are more and more of them in every engine I look at.
I will have to buy a decent set myself as last night the T27 I had wasn't a
good fit but a neighbours, from a more professional set, fitted right and I
got the bolt out. For such a simple job I could have been snookered because
some design prat decided to use a trox rather than a normal bolt. I suppose
its something to make sure you go to a garage for repairs and don't do it
yourself.

PVR Stuff

by Palmblogging @ 29.07.2008 - 08:58:01 am

Digital Spy Terrestrial: Humax releases two Freeview PVRs

Humax is releasing two Freeview+ set-top boxes, one with a 320MB hard drive.

I have a Top Up TV PVR with 120 gig drive so surely they mean gigs not MB
above. The whole PVR thing is great when you can pause a programme for a
toilet break or to get something from the kitchen but its remembering you
do have that facility that's the problem.

British opposition leader David Cameron has been reunited with his stolen
bicycle thanks to a tabloid newspaper and a supporter of the rival Labour
Party, the paper reported Sunday.

Has there every been. Not ever according to Wickipedia. Does anyone know

Orange

by Palmblogging @ 28.07.2008 - 08:58:01 am

I really like this network but just sometimes they really tick me of. Last
night I tried and tried to top up but the system was down. The pay as you
go system is what brought mobiles to the great unwashed masses, much to the
disgrace of the business class and social climbers. It must be a massive
part of any networks income. So why let that part not get a great
uninterrupted service. Hell Orange I want to give you money and you aint
letting me.

Ebay Stuff

by Palmblogging @ 28.07.2008 - 08:58:01 am

I really will have to stop being tight if I really do want to get a Windows
Mobile phone from Ebay. For about the sixth time I have not won one that
I've been after. Maybe my heart isn't really in it or maybe I bottle at
coming up with a good reason or excuse to give Debbie why I need an other
phone. I have been saying the Zire 71 has been playing up quite openly to
her to soften her up. But I think I will only get of with a newer PDA not a
phone. Last night I even took the 680 upstairs as the Zire needed charged
and used the 680 plugged in so it charged for the morning. So Ebay here I
come for a PDA possibly a TX.

Bad Part of Weekend

by Palmblogging @ 27.07.2008 - 03:26:01 pm

The Peugeot 106 brokedown in Perth with the eldest lad and we had to tow
back home. I thought it was the coil so went to scrappys today. I got
another and fitted it but it still won't start. God knows what's up with
it.

Good Part of Weekend

by Palmblogging @ 27.07.2008 - 03:26:01 pm

Tegan has managed to practice hard enough this weekend to manage to cycle a
bike without stabilisers. She's well chuffed and that's all she wants to do
just now.

So looks like I will have to wait for the best Treo dedicated site on the
